Karen Wong

After graduating from the University of Toronto Human Biology program, Karen decided to go into Traditional Chinese Medicine. She spent another four years at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences specializing in TCM Acupuncture, a program established by Dr. Adam Chen. From 2000-2002, she developed her TCM skills at internships at the acupuncture clinics at Mount Sinai Hospital, St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital and the Toronto Centre for Acupuncture. During the summer months, Karen trained at two reputable TCM clinics in Los Angeles. Karen has practiced acupuncture at different multidiscipline settings upon graduation, working with both Western and Tradition Chinese Medical Doctors.

She has the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Adam Chen for many years treating a variety of ailments and has taken an interest In women’s health issues. Besides treating patients with acupuncture, herbs and Tuina massage, Karen strives to provide better results through patient education in self care. At AC99 Health Centres, she has incorporated diet and lifestyle counselling and nutritional supplement recommendations into her practice. She believes that health maintenance is a lifetime goal and does not stop after treatment ceases.
